Who we are
About Find a Payment Processor
Find a Payment Processor is the specialist high-risk brand operated by Rotiv Consult, a payment consultancy based in Lisbon, Portugal. We assess what a merchant, PSP or MSB actually needs from a payment setup, then introduce that business to payment partners in our network that may fit it.
What we do
The service answers one question: which payment partners in our network are potentially relevant for a specific business, and what would they need to see before they would review it. That work has four parts.
- Assessment. We structure the profile a payment partner needs: business model, industry, licensing position, company and customer geographies, payment methods required, processing history and approximate volume.
- Matching. We compare that profile against payment partners in our network and identify the routes that may fit. Availability depends on current partner appetite, so a route that existed last quarter may not exist now.
- Pricing and requirements support. We help prepare the documentation set and take part in the discussion on pricing, reserves, settlement terms and onboarding requirements.
- Introduction. Where a potential match is identified and you consent, we introduce the business to the selected provider and stay in the conversation while it is reviewed.
It is worth being equally plain about what this is not. Find a Payment Processor is not a bank, an acquirer, a payment service provider or a processor. We do not process payments, hold funds, issue merchant accounts or decide onboarding. Approval, pricing and final terms are set by the payment provider, subject to provider underwriting and compliance review.

How we are paid
The commercial model is published so it can be read before anyone submits a profile, not after.
The assessment and introduction service is free for merchants, PSPs and MSBs. We may receive compensation from a payment provider when an introduction leads to a completed placement. This does not change the information you provide, the routes we assess or the underwriting decision made by the provider.
We are not a bank, acquirer, payment service provider or processor, and we do not sell payment processing. We do not publish paid rankings, and no provider can buy a place in an assessment.
The method behind an assessment, including what we look at and what we cannot promise, is set out in how matching works.
The specialist behind the guides
Payments specialist
Payments specialist working between merchants, acquirers and payment service providers. Assesses merchant and portfolio requirements and introduces businesses to payment partners that may support them.
The guides and the problem explainers on this site carry Acácio Couto’s byline and are written and reviewed against his payments experience. Most commercial pages are published by Find a Payment Processor instead; every page states which of the two applies.
How to reach us
Questions about the service, an assessment in progress or your data can be sent to info@rotivconsult.com. The contact page sets out what to include so the first reply can be a useful one. Enquiries are read and answered in writing.
Start with an assessment
If you would rather begin with your own setup than with a question, the assessment form is the fastest route. It is three short steps, and no payment provider sees anything until you consent to an introduction.
No guaranteed approvals. Final onboarding decisions are made by each payment provider following underwriting and compliance review.
